October Time is Pumpkin Time!
We have had such a busy month! The Fire Department has visited with the Smoke House, Miss Spider Invited us for a Tea Party, we have gotten “Batty with Bats”, we have dressed up for the Fall Festival, and have just gotten back from the Pumpkin Patch!
Thank you for all of your help this month! A special thank you to our classroom grandmother, Gigi for our goodie bags! They we are soo excited to leave with sweet treats!
On Monday, I will be sending home a “Turkey” project for you and your child to complete at home. You will disguise your turkey so he will not get caught for turkey dinner. You can use any sort of design you would like. In the past, I have had a sheep turkey,a Santa clause turkey, and even a fairy princess turkey. There is no limit to what you can do. Please do not just color the turkey. We want the kids to use their imagination. Please return the turkeys to school by Monday, November 8th.

Though the hotline has five lines, there may be times when the phone lines are busy. Callers who don’t immediately get through may leave a message, which will be returned by Transportation Department staff or they may send an email to transportationinfo@mps.k12.al.us. Callers may also leave questions for transportation staff on voice mail after hours. They should leave their name and daytime phone number so someone can get in touch with them.
To answer those questions effectively, they need to know the parent’s name, home address, phone number and zoned school.”
Parents who do not know their child’s zoned school may call the Parent Advocate and Liaison for Student’s Office at 223-6850, or they may use the school zone feature on the MPS website under the Parents section at www.mps.k12.al.us.
